To reality!

My bags are unpacked, photos downloaded and batteries are fully recharged from all the creative energy at SNAP!

Conference Ticket- $

Airplane Ticket- $$

Spring Training in Utah= Priceless

Even though the trip flew by at lightening speed, it was great to see old friends, connect with on-line buddies and mingle with some of my company “crushes”.

To be honest, this time around I did not take a ton of pictures.  Instead, I wanted to soak in and enjoy the time with everyone.

Auto Pilot

These are words I will use to describe my “real life” for the next few days.

Today, I have travel plans!  I am heading out to Utah to meet some of my on-line crafty friends at SNAP.  And let me just say, I can not wait!

(Well, to be fair- I’m not really looking forward to the travel part.  Who knew that getting to Salt Lake City from Charlotte would require me to change planes?)

Oh well, no worries because when I arrive, I have Candace (one of my crafting partners in crime) from Cool2Craft TV coming to scoop me up at the airport!

If this conference is anything like The Creative Connection Event, I will come back with my creative juices pumping nothing but pure energy through my veins.  (hey, come to think of it- that’s how this blog started!)

So watch out, you never know what clever ideas I will share next!

Until I return-

February 29th is a strangely fun day that only comes around once every 4 years.

There are many urband legends that surround this extra calendar.

Like-

  • that beans and peas planted during a leap year would “grow the wrong way” (who knows what that means)
  • Leap year was never a good sheep year.
  • Women can propose marriage.
  • Babies born on leap day would be sickly and hard to raise.

And why do you ask do we have an extra day?  Well, after doing some research I have learned that today was added to the calendar to align the human measurements of time more closely with mother nature.  That’s funny right?  Considering that in early years, fooling around with the calendar was believed to throw mother nature in a tail spin.

Well, I can say with certainty that the urban legend of having a “Leap Day” baby also know as  “leapings” or “leapers”  will not bring you a sickly child or hard to raise crazy tot!  My girl is sweet as pie and happy to turn 3 today!

Do you know any Leapings or Leapers? If so, when do they celebrate their birthday? We celebrate on March 1st.  The day after the 28th.

Happy Birthday Amanda!!
